Department of Pharmacognosy is a part of the Pharmacy discipline. Subjects taught by us gives an insight concerned with medicinal drugs obtained from plants / natural sources, which involve identification, characterisation, extraction, and quality control of drugs. Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry spans with phytomedicine, phytopharmacy, herbal cosmetics, healing herbals and aromatherapy. The department imparts knowledge of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, traditional systems of medicines and studies of herbals and herbal products. This department teaches the following subjects.
