Diploma in Pharmacy
The course of study in diploma in pharmacy offered by Dr Kalam College of Pharmacy, Avanam, Thanjavur district comprises of Part-I and Part-II. The curriculum and syllabus for the course is prescribed by pharmacy council of india, New Delhi. There shall be an examination in the first year on the subjects of Part-I and an examination in the second year comprising the Part-II subjects. The examination conducting authority is the Director of Medical Education, Chennai.
The Diploma in Pharmacy course of academic training is of 2 years duration with minimum of 180 working days per year followed by a practical training not less than 500 hours.

Bachelor of Pharmacy
The course of bachelor of pharmacy will extend over a period of four academic years. The curriculum and syllabus for the course is prescribed by pharmacy council of India, New Delhi. Each year is divided into two semesters of six months. The eamination conducting authority is the T.N. Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
The course of study of B.Pharm., I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII semesters will include the respective theory and practical subjects.

Master of Pharmacy
The Course, Master of Pharmacy is a 2 years course offered by Dr. Kalam College of Pharmacy under two specializations, Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Analysis. The curriculum and syllabus for the course is prescribed by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The course comprise of four semesters, each year is divided into two semesters of six months. The Institute is affiliated to the T.N. Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai for the conduct of the course.
